The objectives of the High on Life Challenge
- Provides drug education and awareness
- Helps to improve self esteem and develop a strong self image
- Teaches coping and stress management skills
- Builds resiliency to lessen risks
- Encourages setting healthy lifestyle goals
Funded until June 2011
- Offered co-facilitation in 20 high schools and 42 intermediate schools in Waterloo Region to train school personnel for program sustainability
- Provided Ontario-wide training to 300 education and health care professionals to deliver the High on Life Challenge in their organization to support youth and young adults in the prevention of drug use
